Friday Early Out
Purpose: To allow students needing academic assistance to get help in their classes and make up work during the school day.
Protocol: Students who have earned a D or F, need to retake an assessment or been requested to stay by their teacher(s) do not qualify for an early release and are required to stay and work with their assigned teachers until the regular dismissal time at 3:35 pm on Fridays.
Students who qualify for Friday Early Out may leave school early at 2:11 PM. They will be notified through their Infinite Campus Portal Account. Students will be notified each Thursday of their qualifying status. Students required to attend FEO will also be notified through their Portal Account concerning which classes they are required to attend. Students required to stay for FEO will be notified each Thursday. Administrators will assign consequences for those students who are required to stay and do not attend FEO. Teachers will take attendance during each FEO session within the first five minutes of class. A phone message will be given to all parents on Thursday to inform them of their student’s obligation to stay. Missing FEO will result in a school consequence.
Friday Early Out runs from 2:16-3:35 PM. Parents and students will be notified if there is a change in schedule concerning FEO throughout the school year.
