Friday Early Out
Purpose: To allow students with Ds and Fs to get help in their classes and make up work during the school day.
Protocol: Students who have earned a D or F or been requested to stay by their teacher(s) do not qualify for an early release and are required to stay and work with their assigned teachers until the regular dismissal time at 3:35 pm on Fridays.
Lists of students with As, Bs, and Cs (those who may leave early) will be notified. Administrators will assign consequences for those students who are required to stay and do not attend FEO. Each student will have a sign in and out sheet to account for and verify student attendance at the after-school help sessions. Students with Ds and Fs will be informed weekly of academic progress and whether they will need to stay on Friday. A phone message will be given to all parents on Thursday to inform them of the student’s obligation to stay. Missing FEO will result in a school consequence.
Students with multiple Ds and Fs will be notified on their sheets which classes they are required to attend. They should attend their first class until the halfway point and get their sheet filled out by their teacher then quickly transition to their next class and again get their sheet filled out.
Friday Early Out runs from 2:16-3:35 pm.
