Hello!

On behalf of the staff at Highland Park, I would like to welcome you and your family to the 23/24 school year!

It is our mission to ensure high levels of learning for every student every day! We are so excited to be a part of your child’s learning journey. Our teachers have collaborated over the summer to plan many engaging learning experiences for our students. It is going to be another incredible year at Highland Park!

Please take a few minutes to review the links, dates, and information below. We look forward to collaborating with you.

Ensuring regular attendance and setting aside time each night for reading as well as a conversation about the day’s events is valuable to your child’s educational success. Please make this a priority.

Also take the time to confer with your child’s teacher, counselor, and principal if concerns or questions arise.

I am excited to introduce you to our new Highland Park staff members:

*Mr. Mark Elliott will be our new Highland Park Physical education teacher. He has been a Physical education teacher for many years at Sheridan high school and is very excited to work with our students at Highland Park.

*Mrs. Erika Jorgensen will be teaching Kindergarten. She joins us from Coffeen elementary school. Mrs. Jorgensen completed her student teaching at Highland Park, so we are excited to have her return to HP.

*Mrs. Andrea Rader will be teaching 2nd grade. Mrs. Rader comes from Story elementary where she was the kindergarten/first grade teacher. She also taught elementary school in Powell for many years.

* Mr. Mark Marker will be teaching 3rd grade. Mr. Marker instructed students for many years in Colorado before moving to Wyoming. During the past 2 years, he was a substitute teacher for the district, so most of our students have had the pleasure of learning with Mr. Marker.

We are very fortunate to have these highly qualified educators join our team! They will positively contribute to the Highland Park community!

Highland Park Parent Teacher Organization- MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
We have a very powerful Parent Teacher Organization! This group of parents collaborate very well to provide tremendous support for our students and teachers!. Please consider joining our PTO. Meetings take place every two months at Highland Park on the following dates:

September 19 (This one is on a Tuesday night.)
November 16
January 18
March 21
April 18
