SCSD2 Virtual Learning Update
Dear SCSD2 Families,
Our virtual learning model is off to an excellent start. Thank you to our teachers and principals for their extensive work, and to students and parents for your strong focus on learning from home. This is truly a team effort. Here are several key updates for the SCSD2 community:
- Governor Gordon has extended school closures through April 30, so we will continue with our virtual learning plan for the remainder of the month at a minimum.
- Our website now offers a simple Virtual Learning page, which is an easy way to connect with each school’s critical information on virtual learning.
- Friday, April 10, is an early release day, with release times as follows:
- Elementary schools, 12:35
- SJHS and Schiffer, 1:10
- SHS, 1:15
- If you experience difficulties with technology, you can find information on tech support for every school here.
- We encourage all SCSD2 families to practice safe behaviors, including frequent handwashing and social distancing. Please check the Sheridan County website for more information: https://www.sheridancounty.com/sheridan-county-covid-19-updates/
Again, thank you to our education team, our parents, and our students for making virtual learning a success. Take care and stay healthy!
Craig Dougherty, Superintendent
