PSAT/ACT retake information

PSAT – deadline September 1st, 2025

Sophomores and juniors– the PSAT/NMSQT will be given on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 8:00 am. Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA from the 2024-25 school year or a principal recommendation to sign up. See payment information below.

Important Payment Information

Juniors: SCSD2 pays for the test fee for students in the 11th grade. By submitting the Google Form (link provided above), you agree to pay the $18 PSAT fee if you fail to sit for the exam on October 22nd, 2025.

Sophomores – By submitting the Google Form (link provided above), you agree to pay the $18 PSAT fee. While 11th graders typically take it for the National Merit Scholarship consideration, SHS offers this assessment to 10th graders as a practice test and to familiarize students with the format. The PSAT/NMSQT is the same test for both grades. 

Registration for the PSAT will close on September 1st, 2025, at 11:59 pm.

No late registrations will be accepted.

ACT – deadline October 10, 2025 at 5 pm

Seniors have the opportunity to retake the ACT at Sheridan High School on Tuesday October 21, 2025 free of charge.
