True to our mission statement, “A community that Believes all students can Achieve,” Woodland Park Elementary prides itself as a high achieving educational institution. In fact, our reading, writing, and math scores are frequently well above the state averages on the state assessment, PAWS.
The past several years of test results, including the Most Recent PAWS Results, show the continued performance of our students at or above proficiency levels. Reporting these high results speaks volumes about our learning communities’ commitment to our mission.
A summary of our 2015 testing performance is presented below:
Reading:
- 78% of 3rd graders tested proficient and above (State average 61%)
- 76% of 4th graders tested proficient and above (State average 60%)
- 65% of 5th graders test proficient and above (State average 59%)
Mathematics:
- 57% of 3rd graders tested proficient and above (State average 49%)
- 60% of 4th graders tested proficient and above (State average 51%)
- 73% of 5th graders tested proficient and above (State average 53%)
