Virtual Learning Update

Dear Students, Parents, & Staff,

The SCSD2 Board of Trustees has approved the district’s virtual learning plan to continue through the end of the school year (Friday, May 29). This plan is consistent with guidance from Wyoming State Health Officer Dr. Alexia Harrist, Sheridan County Health Officer Dr. Ian Hunter, Governor Mark Gordon, and Wyoming Superintendent Jillian Balow.

We greatly appreciate the hard work of our staff in designing the transition to virtual learning, our students for adapting to a new way of learning, and parents for all of the flexibility and support during this difficult time.

The district continues to seek guidance from state health officials and our county health officer. We encourage all SCSD2 families to continue practicing safe behaviors, including frequent handwashing and social distancing. Please check the Sheridan County website for more information: https://www.sheridancounty.com/sheridan-county-covid-19-updates/

Again, thank you to our education team, our parents, and our students for making virtual learning a success. Take care and stay healthy!

Craig Dougherty, Superintendent
