Graduation Day

The Graduation Ceremony begins at 11:00 am in the Homer Scott Stadium (weather permitting). Graduates are to arrive at 10:15 am and meet in the gymnasium to prepare for the processional. Handicap parking will be available in the bus loop. In the case of bad weather forcing the ceremony indoors there will be a restriction in the number of guests per student graduate (5 tickets per student).

Appropriate dress is required under the cap and gown. You may appropriately decorate your cap. Since graduation is a formal ceremony, students are highly encouraged to wear professional or semi-formal attire.

The decision to move the start time of the ceremony up two hours was based on past history of having to move the ceremony indoors due to inclement weather. Historically, early afternoon is when storms have presented themselves. Due to our attendance and continued community support for graduation, we are trying to maximize our ability to hold graduation outside so all who care to attend graduation to support our graduating seniors can versus seating being limited with an indoor ceremony.

NOTE FROM ADMINISTRATION – Seniors who show up for graduation practice or the graduation ceremony dressed improperly for school, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs, will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Graduation Participation

Seniors who are not meeting graduation requirements because of failing grades or lack of credits need to remain in school until the end of the school year and will not participate in the May graduation ceremony. Summer School is scheduled for June 13 – July 1 for seniors who still need credit(s) to graduate, and diplomas will be awarded when requirements are met.
