At Henry A. Coffeen, student learning is our top priority. We assess students’ academic progress using a variety of measures, including informal classroom assessment, grade level common assessments, district assessments, and assessments required by the Wyoming Department of Education. We continually analyze the results of all assessments, asking a series of critical questions:

  1. How will we support students who struggled on this assessment?
  2. How will we challenge students who demonstrated a need?
  3. How will we modify and enhance our teaching to better prepare students for success in the future?

Sheridan County School District No. 2 is one of the top school districts in the state of Wyoming. We’re number one among large districts in reading and math on one of the nation’s most challenging statewide assessments. We have been identified as one of the top 100 school districts in the nation.

As part of our commitment to accountability, all assessment information is publicly available. In addition to our own reporting of our district student learning results, we are happy to provide the resource below to view assessment and other accountability reports on SCSD#2 and specific schools.

School and District Report Cards: Report cards help parents, policy makers, and the general public see where schools and districts are succeeding and where there is still work to do by sharing data about student performance and program effectiveness. The link provided will direct you to Fusion, the Wyoming Department of Education data reporting site. Once in Fusion, click on “School Assessment Report” near the middle of the page, then select your district, school, grade level, and subject. After making a selection from each drop-down menu, click “Generate Report” at the top of the page. You will then see the report card for the school you selected.
