Concealed Carry Training for SCSD2 Staff and Volunteers
Below is a flyer with registration details regarding an upcoming firearms training course scheduled for August 10 & 11, which will be held in collaboration with all Sheridan County school districts. If you are choosing to conceal carry on school grounds for the 25-26 school year, this 24 hours of training meets the requirements outlined in policy CKA: Concealed Firearms. This policy has been approved by SCSD2 Trustees on first reading and will be reviewed for second reading in August. Certainly, you can obtain this concealed carry training from another certified trainer after pre-approval by the Superintendent.
This training is provided at no cost to staff and volunteers, however, there is a $40 fee to cover meals, drinks, and incidental expenses. To register, please use the link provided below. This is open to the first 50 people who register and preference will be given to school district employees. Again, this training is only for employees and volunteers who elect to conceal carry. Conceal carry is not a requirement.
Please Note:
A valid Wyoming Concealed Carry Permit is required to participate in this training. If you need information on how to obtain this permit, please click HERE or contact the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office at 672-3455. Additionally, each trainee is responsible to bring a firearm, holster, protective gear, 300 rounds of range ammo, and 50 rounds of carry ammo.
