Session Description:

How can you take the Daily 5/CAFE farther in your primary classroom? This session will provide participants with an overview of the foundational lessons necessary to get Daily 5 and CAFE up and running. Modeling to ensure student independence will be explored, along with strategies to integrate technology effectively into the components.

Speaker Bios:

Heather Miller has 18 years teaching experience, with 15 of those years in Sheridan, Wyoming.  She earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of Wyoming and her Masters in Literacy from Lesley University. She has taught preschool, Kindergarten, and is now teaching First Grade.

Courtney Pushcar has taught kindergarten for six years.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and is about to finish her Master’s Degree in Elementary Reading and Literature.  She loves using technology to support her curriculum.
