Are you prompting students to promote independence and growth as readers? This session will evaluate the different levels of prompting used in small groups and one-on-one settings. Participants will look at data and videos to determine which prompts would be most effective in various situations. An understanding of taking and analyzing running records is necessary for this session.
Megan Edmunds is currently the literacy coordinator at Henry A. Coffeen. She taught 5th and 6th grades in Laramie before moving to Sheridan and teaching 3rd grade. She has her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a literacy endorsement.
