Sheridan County School District #2 is among the top school districts in the state of Wyoming. We consistently perform among the best in statewide assessments, and all our schools that were ranked have recently been rated as “Meeting or Exceeding Expectations” on the Wyoming accountability system. This accountability model measures achievement, growth, and equity, rather than the federal system that only looks at achievement. However, these results were not enough to meet the lofty targets of the federal accountability system known as No Child Left Behind. The federal authorities want to see 100% percent proficiency for all students, including those with disabilities.
